Messrs. Vauxhall Motors Ltd.,
Luton,
BEDS.

2nd. November 1937.

For the attention of Mr. Taub.

Dear Sirs,

We are anxious to improve the standard of reliability of our fan belts and information obtained from America seems to indicate that American belts have progressed in construction and durability far beyond the belts which we have. We presume that you are obtaining or endeavouring to obtain belts of the American standard (or as near as possible to same) in this country, and would welcome some information on this subject.

We would like to know the suppliers of your belts, the size of belt you use, diamter of pulleys and H.P. transmitted, if you have no objection to letting us have this information. We are collecting similar information from U.S.A., but presume that you already have this.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
