Test report on the failure of a die-cast unannealed aluminium steering wheel under load.

The fracture occured in exactly the same place as in the previous test but appeared to be rather more christaline and rather less short. The bolts were badly distorted and the boss deflected from the circular. There was but little distortion in any other part of the wheel. (contd) | ||
