PROGRESSIVE DEVELOPMENT.

I am rather inclined to favour restricted vent on both sides with back pressure valve, because then:-

(1) No fear of locked air anywhere.

(2) Permits double valve in piston concentric (simple body etc.)

(3) Car continually righting itself from either side of normal - i.e. not wanting for maximum force to overcome valve.

(4) Passages for the above so small as not to effect rapid damping even with thin oil.
