To By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to GJ. c. to HJP. c. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ORIGINAL RE GOSHAWK 11. REAR BRAKES. Y4257 We send herewith N.sch. 1276 shewing the arrangement of brake drum damper and mud fling, which Mr. Royce prefers after seeing N.sch. 1271. It is therefore not necessary to carry out any of the proposals on N.sch. 1271 unless this one is found to be defective in any particular. As before we are not certain of the depth of the flange on the brake drum and leave this to you to put in the depth chosen by the Experimental department.
