I suggest it should be arranged for the speedometer off 26-EX to be sent to the Works at the first favourable opportunity, so that it can be checked against our standard speedometers, and we should then have a record of its characteristics.

Our impression of the car, from a driving and general performance point of view, is that we should have no trouble in producing production cars of this type to give similar performance, as long as they are of similar weight and similar windage as 26-EX. Also one must not be deceived by faulty speedometer readings.
