Re Rapid Destructive test of Valve Springs.

WOR{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}23/T4913. X290 Sept. 4th, 1913.

We do test samples of our springs on an engine test in our Experimental Dept. but I do not consider this sufficiently rapid to meet the case, although our Draughtsmen are of the opinion that it is exceedingly good. I am asking the Draughtsmen to design something more rapid and destructive, in order that we may minimise the trouble further.
