S/W. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. Y6153. WST CAR RADIO. Cx{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}4/KW29.1.35. It would be interesting to us at this date to have a further report from you as to any progress in the testing of car radio, and any interesting points relative to the fitting of such sets to R-R and Bentley cars. For instance, are you satisfied that the Phillips set, which eliminates suppressors, is at least as good, if not better, than any other set which you have tried ? I was talking to Mr.Knight of the Philco Radio Company last week, who brought me one of his latest sets to have a look at, and I asked him whether he was familiar with the Phillips without suppressors. He said that he was, that they had a set at their Works they were trying, but he did not think they were going to get away with it. I don't know quite what he meant by that but maybe it is just a little trade jealousy and rivalry. My impression is that you were rather pleased with this set. Does your further experience justify your optimism? Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} | ||
