The Autovac Manufacturing Co. Ltd.,
Heaton Norris,
Stockport.

Dear Sirs,

Thank you for your letter ref:437.R. of the 8th.inst.

We note that you have reproduced the imperfect operation in the Autovac apparatus we sent to you. We do not wish you to recondition the instrument; it was sent to you as a matter of interest and subject for investigation.

As you are aware, we occasionally come across reported autovac failures, which are not readily reproduced, this particular one being a persistent defaulter was thought worthy of investigation.

Your report that the valves were slightly out of gauge does not convey very much to us and we should welcome a more detailed explanation of the cause of its faulty operation.

Yours faithfully,

For Rolls-Royce Ltd.
