Item 1 on agenda - General position regarding J.III. Peregrin. Bentley Sports, from the point of view of design, Drawing Office, Experimental etc.

Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} suggested that all energy should be directed on finishing off designs etc. of J.III first and when this work is out of the way follow on with Peregrin. If this is done Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} said it would be possible to get an engine on test bed by about the middle of February and have a complete chassis ready for experimental road test shortly after Easter, i.d. end of March or early April.

Re Peregrine. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} said that if the above programme is worked to and Peregrine designs follow immediately after completion of J.III designs, we should have a Peregrine chassis ready for experimental road test shortly after Whitsuntide, i.e. about May 20th.

It was agreed that the D.O. concentrate on J.III as suggested and follow on immediately with Peregrine.

Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} raised the question of bodies for the above chassis, and suggested that they be made in Derby at Sanderson and Holmes, as we should be able to maintain secrecy better by this arrangement. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} agreed to this and R.{Sir Henry Royce} was requested to ask Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} to submit designs to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}, firstly, for a J.III body of maximum capacity, and secondly for a J.III body of owner driver saloon type.

Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} said that Peregrine will probably be fitted with a stock body to be decided upon.
