Spring Drive. E.2699 - Driving Plate.

Reduce limits on dimen:.956 from +5 to -2. (Pre-war drg. limit was +1.)
E.2705 - Crankshaft Pinion.

Reduce limits on .125 depth of recess for bush flange from -10 to -2, also on .725 width of driving spigots from -10 to -2.
E.2696 - Case.

Cancel dimen: 2.600+10 from face of large end of taper to face for Driving Plate, and add dimen: .250+2 as on pre-war drawing. These alterations are necessary to secure better control over the end play in the drive as mentioned in Mr Platford's memo. Para. 4.

Spring Drive. E.2713. Stud.

Alter dia. of plain portion from .305-3 (dia. of top of thread) to .310-3 and reduce limits of .312 drilled holes in E.2696 from +10 to +5 to obtain closer fit as mentioned in Para 4 of Mr Platford's memo.

Carburetter. U.1008 Float Needle Valve.

Works suggest altering dimension for flats from .165-5 to .160-5 and adding note for fine finish on conical seat. Scrap is being caused through the flats running too far down conical portion, rendering it impossible to obtain a full seating.

Pistons. E.18125 Low Compression. E.18278 High Compression.

We desire to move all the piston stops through 13º (across the centre line) from the position shown on drawing, so that the (E.17764 and E.17792) drilling jig may be used. Also to add holes for No. 1 and 3 pistons stops in view showing slot.
Width of grooves altered from .0875±1 to .088±1 (same as E.17764 and E.17792) (Experimental D.O. error).

Wire Fittings. E.1973 Supporting Clip.

Proposed to increase limit on .750 bore dimen:for paper tube from +5 to +15. Also to modify limits on E.1162 wiring tube from ±20 to ±16. Works request owing to difficulty in assembling tubes to the maximum plus limit.
