In view of the work we are at present doing on exhaust systems, there is a possibility that we may modify the final silencer on B.III so that it will not be very much like the systems we have previously fitted. For this reason we recommend that, having demonstrated on a scheme drawing there is plenty of room for the exhaust system, it should not be detailed, but that we should be allowed to build up the system experimentally, and having got the required results, the drawings could be completed.
