To-WD.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} From R.{Sir Henry Royce} Copy to Cd. " " HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} " " HY.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} " " HL. " " EPC. " " MS. ORIGINAL X 3573 RE INSULATING MATERIAL. Thank you for finding out particulars of the "Formite" mouldings.. The matter is now clearing itself up very satis-factorily, and it would appear that to make bakelite mouldings we really only require a suitable steam heated hydraulic press, and the necessary moulds. I should be glad if Mr. Willis and Mr. Haldenby would get the necessary quotations for this, and learn the special points about the designs of the moulds. For some of the pieces it is uncertain what form the moulds will take, and there always will be points that require special attention and education. EPC. and HL. will help by following up this matter with their chemical and electrical knowledge. I am looking to it that in the near future we shall not be handicapped for any mouldings that our electrical department may require. R.{Sir Henry Royce} [STAMPED: RECEIVED APR 29 1921] | ||
