To DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Copy to C.D. x S. x H.S. ORIGINAL. EL/G27/4/21. x 4267 x 4264 RE "GOSHAWK II" REVISED PEDAL, STEERING COLUMN, AND DRIVER'S SEAT POSITIONS. We send you herewith drawing No. Lec.1357 shewing the above. This drawing cancels Lec.1323 in respect to the side elevations, but the latter drawing is still the authority for the lateral positions of the pedals in the chassis. The position of the steering column given on the attached drawing is based on the suspension of the steering box, for which you have a scheme at present in progress. Mr. Royce considers that the steering column support on the dashboard for "D" steering can be entirely hidden by the upper footboard, which may have a split metal plate surrounding the column where it passes through the footboard.
