(17) I. - According to their performance index number, (for this classification the total distance D will be brought down to the minimum value M when the average speed over the distance D - M has been less than that stipulated). 2. - According to the distances covered and according to categories as provided in article 15. DETERMINATION OF THE WINNER OF THE A.C.O. CUP. (2nd. Annual Performance Index Cup) Art. 17 b. - The competitor taking part in the 16th. Reliability Grand Prix who has been placed first according to the value of the performance index determined as set out in articles 16 and 17, will be awarded the A.C.O. Cup. (2nd. annual performance index Cup). RELIABILITY BADGE Art. 18. - The winner of the 16th. Reliability Grand Prix and the manufacturer competitors whose cars have been placed in the Biennial Cups will be entitled to affix the reliability badge on all their cars of the model having taken part in the 1939 event. These badges will be supplied at cost price and issued by the Automobile-Club de l'Ouest. SECTION III COMPETITORS' OBLIGATIONS ------------------------ CATALOGUES Art. 19. - When entering, manufacturers must forward to the Automobile-Club de l'Ouest, 38, place de la{L. A. Archer} République, Le Mans (Sarthe) so that it may be received at latest on the 20th. May 1939 at 6 p.m. one copy of the catalogue concerning the type of vehicle which is to take part in the race. This copy must be dated and initialed by them. In addition this document must be certified on his honour by a principal of the firm entering (Managing Director or Head of the firm) according to the following wording : " I, the undersigned, declare on my honour that the vehicle (or vehicles) entered by me is (are) in conformity with the description set forth in the catalogue of which a copy, initialed by me has been handed in to-day, also that these catalogues, as proved by the certificate of the printer (name of the printer) enclosed herewith, were printed before the (indicate the date). " In the event of failure to supply these documents in due time the entry would be cancelled and the amount paid as entrance fees would be forfeited to the race fund. CHECKING OF THE CYLINDER CAPACITY Art. 20. - The cylinder capacity will be calculated according to the stroke and bore reckoned to the tenth of a millimetre and to the value of 3.1416 as the diameter to circumference ratio (art. 29, A.I.A.C.R. code). ... | ||
