Messrs.Joseph Lucas Research Laboratories,
Great King Street,
Birmingham, 19.

For the attention of Mr.C.E.Robinson.

Dear Sir,

You will remember some time ago we returned a CA.V. Voltage Regulator to you and you reported to us that the trouble was due to one of the porcelain insulators cracking.

We have now received a further regulator type B2H1 No.20855 which has behaved very erratically on our production test. We are sending this regulator back to you marked for your personal attention as we are very interested to learn the cause of the failure which appears to be distinctly different to the failure experienced with the broken insulator.

We shall be glad if you will kindly have this regulator examined and let us have a report on the cause of failure.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
