X7520. PN.{Mr Northey}4/WT23.10.30. S/W. ...from PN.{Mr Northey} Copy to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Two cases have recently turned up of "Phantom II" cars in which the hydraulic shock absorbers are found to be loose on the frame. I shall be glad to have your remarks as to the likelihood of this occurring at all generally. 1. Whether you think the trouble may have been due to the bolts not being sufficiently tightened originally - - or - 2. The material of the bolts enabling the expansion to take place - - or - 3. Whether the washer-locking device is entirely adequate. PN.{Mr Northey} Ld RECEIVED 24 OCT 1930 H | ||
