It was agreed that W. should immediately put into manufacture, up to the extent of 50 of the larger parts and 100 of the smaller parts, of the doubtful items. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} has already authority to proceed with 1000 of the parts which are found satisfactory. When W. want PN.{Mr Northey} to criticise the Goshawk he could be called back from France for this purpose, or the Goshawk could be sent out there to him. (2) CJ11/E26.1.22. STANDARD OF WORK AT CRICKLEWOOD. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} stated that there has been considerable improvement in the standard of work. There has been a regrouping of the whole shop, and a very good man sent down there, who has removed certain people from N. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} was of the opinion that Br.{T. E. Bellringer - Repair Manager} should do less clerical work and telephoning etc., he would then have more time for the final testing and dealing with owners and chauffeurs, after the repairs had been carried out. (3) Was struck off the list of agenda. (4) REF.PN{Mr Northey}4/DN21.12.21. SUGGESTION FOR OIL FILLER TO BE PLACED ON THE OFFSIDE. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} stated that this was originally on the offside. It was changed to the nearside about seven or eight years ago, as it was more accessible when an extra petrol tank was fitted, as the tank in question came immediately over the filler. (5) REF.CJ10/E2.12.21. COST OF REPAIRS. It was agreed that repairs should be "all square" that is to say, the firm should neither make money nor lose money on the job. The question as to whether we should give discount to our agents, seeing it will cost the owner the value of the discount, was brought up.
