Gentlemen,

O.Q.F. 2 Pdr. Mark XIV Guns

In reply to your letter Ve/Nf.5/Cb dated 14th September, 1940, the numbers allocated to the above guns should be stamped on the chase of the barrel, breech ring and cradle.

As regards inspection before and after proof, it is requested you will get into touch with the Inspector of Naval Ordnance, C.M.L. Buildings, Great Charles Street, Birmingham.

All guns will be proved at the Melton Mowbray range; the first three guns being forwarded with their mountings after which the gun complete with cradle should only be sent.
