To HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rn.{Mr Robinson} Copy to Rs.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary} re ADMIRALTY CONTRACT - 40 MM. GUN I presume that you are arranging for B.U.S.M. not to send 40 m.m. gun parts to Derby in excess of the requirements for the first few guns which you are assembling. I know that we have an order for fifteen guns for the Air Ministry and that the parts for these will probably be sub-contracted by B.U.S.M., but since we have not yet got a specification for the Air Ministry guns, we do not think that we can interfere with their programme, which was promised to the Admiralty.
