"Goshawk 11" - Laminated Road Springs. X4429 At the request of Thos.Firth & Sons Ltd. I visited their Works this morning. Mr.J.Wortley Fawcett handed to me two reports, RL.8702 and RL.8710, both dated 7th instant, prepared by Firth's spring designer. I attach the two reports hereto. In the face of these reports, Firths have come to the decision reluctantly that no good purpose would be served by their proceeding further with the six trial sets of springs to drawings F.50595 and F.50596, and before taking in hand other springs to substitute these, they would like to discuss with us the two reports above referred to and for this purpose Mr.J.Wortley Fawcett and Firth's spring designer will visit us here on Friday, 17th inst. or any day next week, except Monday, which will be convenient.
