Messrs. Ferodo Ltd.,
CHAPEL-EN-LE-FRITH.

For the attention of Mr. Longley.

Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter of Dec. 30th. and note the checked dimensions of the V.165 belt mould.

In view of the fact that this mould is correct, we think the discrepancy has occurred due to the radius on the top corners of the belt section not being taken into account during our measurements - the writer had not appreciated that this radius was as big as it is. The angular discrepancy may possibly be due to inaccuracy in measurement - as you say it is very difficult to measure the vee angle accurately.

Under the circumstances, therefore, we will regard this matter as closed.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
