To Wer. from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} re 16-G-4.
Radiator.

I attach copy of memo. to DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} (copy to R.{Sir Henry Royce}) Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}10/E16.12.30, which is self-explanatory.

I have received a copy of DAL/M17.12.30 together with a covering memo. from him indicating that he has sent Sch.3186 to you showing the radiator modified by dropping the shutter bearing plate so as to improve considerably the appearance as regards the lowness of the radiator in the frame.

I am very anxious that this should be pushed through quickly and given the necessary test, which I presume can be done on 16-G-4 so that, if satisfactory, it can be incorporated in the next batch of material which we have to order.

16-G-4 is, I understand, the car you are preparing to send with the modified luggage/grid, the lower rating springs, the modified exhaust manifold to reduce booming and one or two other items.

I shall be glad to hear that this can be carried out.
