The Shock Damper Stone Guards were badly bent, and the Front Wheel Arch Bracket F.87480 collapsed approximately .075 under the weight of the body. The Off Side Roll Rod Bracket F.88581 had broken adjacent to the one bolt hole supporting the Silent Bloc. The Off Side Stay from the 2nd Crossmember to the Body was bent and was not fastened to the body when examined. Rear Brake Inter. Shaft. Stoneguard F.89495 to N.S.5087 appears to have been effective, no stones having accumulated. Pedals LOP.F.87352 and Clutch Pedal Servo Spring. Condition satisfactory. Pins Ex.27537/8 for Servo Spring had worn slightly, and Stay F.87029 from the Pedal Shaft to the Clutch Case had worn .010 in the bore against Anchor Pin in Clutch Case. Rear Springs.LOP.F.88186. The Off Side Front Screwed Shackle Pin Ex.27638 in S/ZN. seized in Sleeve Ex.27630 with the sleeve screwed hard up to the shoulder of the pin; this sleeve was also turning in the spring eye. The Off Side Locking Piece Ex.27631 was distorted and damaged on the locating portion. The Near Side Front Screwed Sleeve was fouling against the side wall of the Anchor Bracket, and there were signs of Screwed Pin Ex.27628 fidgetting against the large locating diameter of the Anchor Bracket. Lubrication to Spring Leaves was fairly good; the ends of the leaves were inclined to be rusty with local hard bedding. The Coiled Pipe Cover and Stone Guard on Rear Shackles were badly damaged by stones. All screwed Bushes were tight in the Spring Eye. continued. | ||
