| To DY.{F R Danby} from Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. For E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Bentley Rear Brake Differential. ---------------------------- Herewith is N. Sch. 3887 showing the suggested spherical bearings to make the differential shafts self aligning and so reduce the present difficulties in erection in the chassis. The third bearing bracket has been removed from the hand brake shaft and that on the foot brake shaft made adjustable as to length. The double end brackets are existing forgings machined out. Works, we understand, are reporting on the value to them of this proposal and nothing need be done with it until then. Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
