RR 238 (150 BKS.) (DB{Donald Bastow - Suspensions} 481-8.12.24) MP 306975 ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. INSTRUCTIONS. To: Lord.d Order No. Customer's No. on the car fitted with similar rubbing blocks. It would appear that the spring pressure of the owners is insufficient and it will be remembered that on the car on which the failure of the blocks occurred the pressure was 1lb 14ozs, and 1lb 6ozs. Ventilation On all previous distributors, there has been a great deal of corrosion inside the distributor, to prevent this the existing ventilation holes were opened out to .200" dia, and two extra holes added. A piece of bakelite was secured to the rotor, and served to keep the air inside the distributor in circulation. After running for 500 hours there was no corrosion whatever, which is a great improvement, previous distributors commence to corrode after about 24 hours running on the bench. Signed: Lord.d This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
