Some of the front springs we have tested on the bump rig have been fitted with oilless bushes. Even with the short running they have had, they have not been very satisfactory. We think that as regards springs, we should at the present time definitely concentrate on bronze bushes with "Enoto" Lubricators. We think it may be possible to use some type of oilless bush on such parts as brake counter-shafts which can afford to have reasonable clearance and which have no side thrust.
