(3) Are Reports to London Office still necessary, showing material ordered for Derby Chassis Output.

Agreed -

That these were no longer necessary, as these reports will be presented to Derby Conference once a month.

(4) Attitude of H....Ltd. with regard to Rapson Tyres.

Agreed -

That Experimental Department should buy a set for trial, to test and report on them; after that, to hand these over to EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} for duration test.

Policy of using H's Dept. to explain to owners that we wish to change their Springs, Starter Clutches etc.

Agreed -

That Test Dept. should do this in the usual way, i.e. a letter should be drafted out and approved by CJ. which could be sent to owners, when we are in a position to deal with these jobs.

OTHER QUESTIONS RAISED.

(1) Motor Boat Work.

Agreed -

Not to touch any work at all which will use up the energy of the works, but to concentrate on the two things on hand at present, viz. chassis and aero engines.

(2) Foundry for Springfield.

Agreed -

That this be brought up at Derby Conference.

(3) Re Scrapping of Material at Springfield.

Agreed -

(a) That all decisions re scrapping of material will be given by the Chief Engineer.
