(5) Ref. Minute (2) of 14/9/20 Derby Conference. Para (2)..Relations with Springfield.

A cable was sent to Mr. Belnap by CJ.

(6) Re American Chassis - Suggested change to left hand steering.

Agreed -

That Mr. Day should see H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} about this, with a view to pushing the matter forward, on account of Legislation being made against us.

SALES AGENDA.

(1) Cost per mile of Chassis Repairs.

Agreed -

(a) That we should recommend cars to be overhauled at H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} after 50,000 miles, not 20,000 miles as previously. New instruction book to be altered accordingly.

(b) That a charge which does not exceed 1½d.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} per mile is a fair charge to make, as against 1/3.d per mile pre-war rate. And that as long as the charges do not exceed 1½d.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} per mile, repairs will be proceeded with without referring the case to CJ.
The above amounts refer to repairs only, and do not include charges for dismantling, re-erecting and testing.

(2) Assistance for Order Office, to obtain material solely for R.R.Inc.

Agreed -

That no assistance is necessary but that where there is a shortage of any supplies whereby Springfield may suffer, it will be discussed by Derby Conference and they will refer the matter to CJ. if necessary.
