19-GL.{G. Linnett} 10,000 Miles test in France.

Your remarks on the following items would be of interest :-

Electric Bulbs. After about 6,000 miles all incandescent lamps appear to have broken. This would have a most unpopular effect if our owners found this practice occur. Is there any special explanation ? Can we avoid this ?

Clutch. Has been slipping. This is always a most irritating thing to happen and occurs quite often enough with trials 25 H.P. cars. One would like more margin of safety.

Exhaust Valves. After 6,000 miles approximately, three of these valves have lost clearance. In view of the peculiar failure in this respect of the set of exhaust valves of 25-LX, are we any nearer an explanation ?

Bijur Oil Tank. Ceased to function, due to a displaced cork washer at bottom of piston. Can such a recurrence be definitely avoided without modification ? A most serious thing to happen.
PN.{Mr Northey}

Exhaust. The manifold required renewal after about 6,000 miles. Does this mean that we may still with this latest "hook-up", expect trouble with owners, or was the cause of the manifold crack somewhat abnormal, which we can reasonably hope to prevent in future ?
