Referring to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry{Shadwell Grylls}3/R.7.2.38 I note you say that the last report of a 25/30 - 22-G-V indicated that it was only .3 better than the last daily report of the above car, which was 11.7, i.e. a total of 12.

I do not want to appear to be quibbling about a small amount but, after having looked up reports of 22-G-V, my people tell me that it averaged in France 13 miles to the gallon.

What I am really after, as indicated in my first note to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}, is that I presume we agree that there is no reason why the petrol consumption of this new series of chassis should be any worse than the present.

This is important because, as you know, we went backwards on this feature and have never wholly regained our loss and we do not want to go backwards again.
