We hereunder give you extract of
letter received this morning from the above customer,
complaining of his battery. The battery was delivered
new with The Chassis from the Works 30.4.20.

"The batteries on my car F.W.15 were below par so I asked
Messrs. Hollands of Boston to return them to makers. They
report that they should be replaced, but surely they
should have a longer life than this. The car has done
very little running, perhaps 7,000 or 8,000 miles
altogether, it has been driven solely by myself. The
batteries have had every consideration and attention
and never used for starting from cold, or at any time
when the starting was not immediate, nor have they
they had long intervals of rest.

You may remember I brought the car from your Works a
short time ago, when doubtless they were to your satis-
faction.

I would be pleased if you could take up this matter
with the makers - who have them now"

The Chassis was received in Test
Department for modifications 1.9.22 and re-delivered
20.10.22.

We shall be glad to know if you
agree that this battery should have longer life,
and if so will Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} please take the matter up with the
Chloride people.
