Messrs Rolls-Royce, Ltd.,
DERBY.

Dear Sirs,

Ref: Roy{Sir Henry Royce}/GC5/MW.

In reply to your letter of the 4th. inst., we beg to advise you that we have this day despatched, per L.M.S. Passenger, the experimental Newton Clutch Plate to your order No. 28867.

We do trust that we have not inconvenienced you seriously through the delay in delivery of this plate, but the component parts have all had to be hand-made and unfortunately we were not able to complete same in the time that we anticipated.

We shall be glad to have your comments on the performance of this plate when you have had an opportunity of putting same on test, and in the meantime, remain,

Yours faithfully,
p.p. NEWTON & BENNETT, LTD.
