I am sending you herewith correspondence we have received in connection with the dynamo and battery on Patiala's car. Patiala is an Indian potentate of some notoriety and is one of our best customers and it is therefore necessary that we should make a very studied examination of the case on its merits and possibly submit the matter to R.{Sir Henry Royce} It would certainly mean discussions with the Lucas Company as to whether a dynamo could be supplied to meet the conditions, as it is very evident that although a dynamo might be arranged to cut in earlier it would certainly also be affected by the fact that at certain periods the car would undoubtedly have to do ordinary touring at high speeds.

The matter demands close attention and I would be prepared to discuss the issue with you if you thought this necessary.
