COVENTRY.

Dear Mr. Tombs,

Thank you for your note of February 3rd.
I suggest that you come over in time for lunch on Tuesday, February 11th and that you stay in Derby on Tuesday night.

We are so preoccupied with armament activities that I may find it difficult to spend the time I should like to give you the story about Hall's car, unless you can manage to be in Derby for twenty-four hours or so. In the meantime, I will look up as much information as I can and endeavour to make it into a coherent story.

Yours sincerely,
