Regarding the power of the Eagles for the flying
boats, I should send the engine exactly as we have obtained
the 360 HP. If it gives any trouble and will not stand up
to the work, then the compression may have to be reduced.
I do not think it will be found satisfactory to reduce the
size of the throat of the carburetter.

In any such case there is nothing like a
practical trial on the actual machine, at the earliest
possible moment.
