Dear Sirs,

Replying to your letter of the 26th April, reference as above, we wish to confirm having telephoned to Mr. Hickling that the outside diameter of the bearing you are supplying for the Bentley back axle would be too large to go into the housing if it were 72 mm.

Since our housing is .0003" under 72 mm. we think it would be advisable for the bearings to be 2.8340 - 1/4. This would ensure the bearing never being tight in the housing, and we understand you can easily work to this limit.
