We now forward herewith drawing No.I.JJ.4172 showing the cutting and main switches as they have been re-arranged as above.

You will see that the side to side motion and also the fore and aft motion which is made to move through a large spring is now made so that it is the mechanism which comes off by their own up spring pressure, the little cams which run on the two wiping contacts would be made double so that the mechanism is made to come off by the other switch when necessary to do the cutting out. This is actually shown on the arrangement drawing.

We shall be glad to have your comments on this arrangement and the detailing operations. You will see a lay-out of the mechanism as part of the outside of the chassis as inaccessible as possible.

-showing the interior and the foot pedal shaft, and to the mechanism without really allowing fiddling.
