contd:-2- D.T.D. 230 - 87 Octane Standard Fuel. This fuel admits the use of tetra-ethyl-lead and may only be used as detailed hereunder:- (a) For Type Tests of certain engines constructed under Air Ministry Contracts when such contracts specify that the type tests be run on a fuel complying with D.T.D. 230. (b) For Production Tests of engines constructed under Air Ministry Contracts when such contracts specify a fuel complying with specification D.T.D. 230. (c) Contractor's Flight Trials, when the engine log book certifies that the production test has been carried out upon fuel complying with Specification D.T.D. 230. (d) Aircraft Delivery Flights, when the engine log book certifies that the production test has been carried out upon fuel complying with specification D.T.D. 230.
