Nice Sunday 24th February 1924 Mr E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Hives. Rolls-Royce Ltd. Derby. Dear Sir, Since writing my last report of a few days ago I have nothing of importance to report - Sir P. N. saw me this morning & instructed me to cover as much mileage as possible whenever he does not require the car, to which I will comply to the best of my ability & report as to the behaviour of the car to you in the usual way. I have no idea how long the car is going to be in use before returning to Derby! but if it were to be used on the continent for any length of time, I think it would be advisable to have a set of Servo Shoes sent to me as reserve. for the last time I had them down I noticed the thickness of the liners was going down - 4 m/m on top shoe & slightly over on bottom one - I received yesterday the 10% lever for Servo. which I will fit as soon as possible & report - I have had some better slow running with the car after | ||
