Thanks for your report on this matter, I am pleased to be able to agree that there is no need for anything further to be done. I would like to point out, however, that in my suggestion I intended the sheet of metal to be used [handwritten insertion: of very] thin [handwritten insertion: aluminium] and to be so arranged that it would melt into the casting and would really make the top into an [handwritten strikethrough] alloy containing less copper and therefore possibly less porous.
