BENTLEY STEERING COLUMN.
We send herewith LeC 4890 showing the Phantom III two-tone horn switch fitted to the present standard Bentley steering column.
The button of the switch and the internals are all Phantom III parts, whilst the only modified Bentley part is the cover for the controls.
The circle containing the outer lettering has been increased so as to leave room for the inner lettering, namely the words "Riding Control".
We understand that it is not certain whether this type of switch is preferred to the single button on the column and the changeover switch on the screen rail, but we send you this scheme should it be decided that the two-tone horn/button on the column is the thing to be desired, as we feel that the mode of operation of these horns should be the same on all of our cars.
You have already received from us the schemes for mounting the relay unit on the dashboard and the fixings of the horn on the front of the car, and we suggest therefore that one of our experimental Bentley cars be fitted up for test with these horns.
