We cannot recall a single instance of the lever which carries the platinum point seizing on its pivot. (b). There were a fair number of broken springs in the early days of this type of make and break, but for some considerable time past now they have not been a source of trouble to us, and we feel safe in saying that the occurrence is comparatively rare - perhaps only a few in a year.
