per hour, direct, is about 1600 revs, a speed which was often reached when on the open road and the engine at this speed made a terrible clatter. On the retard the engine was very lumpy all down the scale, the the flywheel seems very small and light and has a short engine coupling, although good " ring type " universal joints but poorly protected and not oil retaining.

Petrol consumption worked out at about 12 miles per gallon, there is no hand adjustment for the carburettor and the carburettor leaks generally on the weak side and owing to this weakness is rather difficult to start up.

The engine has piston knocks and detonates badly.

Pulsation of engine at slow speeds can be felt when engine is giving off full power.
