R R 984 (100w.) X840 16.4.12/ G 2928 Steering is rather stiff and quite tiring after a days run, not as bad as the Lanchester. Steering had a certain amount of slack in the steering box , but did not appear to be effected by road shocks. Springing was Very Fair at any rate did not seem bad, intend making further tests with this with more load on the car. There did not seem to be any signs of water boiling, floorboards were quite cool and the air passing under same was quite cool compared with ours. Exhaust was very quiet and the silencer seemed very effective, suction noises about the same as R.R. Car suffers from explosions in the silencer when running down hill but same were nothing like as objectionable as Contd. | ||
