-4- Nature of Complaint. No. of Cars. Last Qtr's. Total. Remarks. Tappets Noisy. W. 16. N. 15. P. 8. 39. 77. The grooved bushes for improved lubrication scheme are satisfactory and cure complaints, and are standard on present Production. Throttles Sticking. W. 15. N. 9. P. 12. 36. 31. The new design roller bearing throttle overcomes the trouble on the old cars. On the later cars with aluminium throttle bodies the butterfly valve sticks due to carbon forming on the edges. Something should be done about this. Water Pump failures. W. 31. N. 13. P. 6. 50. 88. We have examined all Water Pumps for this quarter but have not kept a separate record of those which have failed. The later type glands and spring separator appear to be an improvement. We have now stopped making an examination of the water pumps on all cars which come in. | ||
