Though the engine was remarkably quiet and unobtrusive when idling, it became rather fierce when doing collar work at speed.

I know you will be interested in some comparisons between the Lincoln and the Phantom III performance. The Phantom III was a Limousine car with the facing forward seats, and I think may be considered to be fairly representative of what will actually be sold to the customer, but I should be obliged if you would treat the figures as confidential and not pass them on.

I understand Mr. Smith tried one of the Ph.III's they are now demonstrating, and I expect he noticed a number of undesirable features about the chassis. I should like to know what they were if he has a record of them. Sometimes I believe that we worry ourselves about certain features of the chassis, whereas the customer is adversely impressed by something entirely different.
