Wd {Mr Wood / Mr Whitehead} 4/NJ26.6.24. Hartford Shock Absorbers. The remarks conveyed in your note By {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} /C15/H24.6.24 were forwarded to T.B.Andre & Co.Ltd. by post yesterday. This morning we are in receipt of a letter from these people (which has crossed ours in the post) as follows:- "We wish to inform you that we have today 'despatched a sample pair of type 103 Hartford 'Shock Absorbers to show you how we propose 'getting over the trouble you have had with the 'keys on the centre adjusting bolt breaking. "You will notice that we have provided two 'flats on the bolt instead of a hexagon, as 'suggested, as we find that this will not only 'be cheaper for us to manufacture, but, in our 'opinion, will be just as effective, and we 'trust that this construction will meet with 'your approval. Will AW. instruct Stores that on arrival the sample pair of type 103 Hartford Shock Absorbers must be delivered to By. {R.W.
