15th June, 1938.

W.O. Bentley, Esq.,
Lagonda Motors Ltd.,
STAINES,
Middlesex.

Dear W.O.,

Isn't it about time I tried one of your 12-cyl. motors ? I shall be in London on Wednesday next week, and wonder if I came to Staines if you would have a car available.

Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} also much wants to try one, but being very honest insists of my telling you that if asked afterwards will, of course, say ours is a better car. On the other hand, when we have something new on show, you shall certainly have a run on it.

No one will be offended if your reply to this letter is not couched in parliamentary terms - merely disappointed.

Should all this meet with your approval, and we arrived about mid-day, will you lunch with us somewhere suitable for car testing ?

Yours sincerely,
