We have shewn the adjusting screw on the cross steering tube with a slightly increased square to suit that on the radius rod end. We have also increased the thread to .750 .

It will be noticed that the shock absorber ball and tubes are increased. This is to make them pro rata with Goshawk.

With further reference to the cross steering tube joint we think that the taper shewn on N.sch.1343 may be a little steeper than is convenient for assuring a tight fit and we should like you to make this 1 in 48 if you agree that that is the case.

We have increased the taper on the cotter pin to 1 in 20 in order to make it less possible to drive this pin right through after it has been put in and out a few times.

We should like Derby to check the axle forging, top steering lever ball ends etc, with N.sch.1317, as slight modifications have been made to suit the radius rod. We think for instance that the top steering lever ball end is rather higher than shewn on N.sch.1317.
