To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} From R.{Sir Henry Royce} c. to CJ. BJ. H4219 X/3840 R3/M18.11.24. CAR FOR LE CANADELHenry Royce's French residence. K.8770 -------------------- K.4219. B-G-11 car to go to Derby for general examination. One exhaust valve bad, (earlier a bad crankshaft vibration which now seems to have gone.) The speedometer should be checked as it indicated 70. M.P.H. on level, no wind, cutout open. Afterwards return to Messrs. Young & Co. at Bromley for body and hood repairs. A luggage carrier is needed. The doors are sticky tight, probably through damp. EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} will instruct. I would not take this car but understand no other is available that it would be useful to take. Mr. Johnson rather thought I ought to use a 40/50, but one is to be sent out as soon as model ready of either 'V' series EAC.2., or conversion car, (see VW. specification enclosed herewith).
